The UK government has decided to sign the Hague Convention of 2019 on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters (the 2019 Hague Convention). ‘The Government will move to sign the Convention as soon as possible, as an important signal of its commitment to multilateral Private International Law instruments and to help improve legal certainty for businesses and consumers involved in cross-border litigation.
